Loving Food Resources (LFR) is a food pantry that provides food, health, and personal care items to people in 18 counties of WNC who are living with HIV/AIDS or who are in Home Hospice care regardless of diagnosis.
Every Thursday, hot meals are served at the Kenilworth Center. Anyone can come and select a meat or vegetarian entrée. Typically a meal includes protein and vegetables.
Loving Food Resources also provides one-time-only emergency boxes that contain nutritious food, personal health care products, and personal protection items such as masks and hand sanitizer.

SVCM works in Oteen, East Asheville, Swannanoa, Black Mountain, Montreat and Ridgecrest with TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program), American-grown food given to supplement the diets of low-income people. To participate one must provide name, household size, receive FNS benefits or qualify by income. All information is self-declared, kept confidential. No proof of ID, income or residency are required.
